Many years in the planning, and 15 months for the construction and restoration, and the old brand new Civic Centre was re-opened the week before New Year’s 2011 with 5 days of celebratory events. This video shows the story of the restoration, enhancement and celebratory re-opening of the hall.

The Civic Centre is owned by the Town of Golden. Golden Town Council sets conditions and fees by Bylaw and directs Kicking Horse Culture to manage the facility on its behalf.
